To Use Classroom Computer with Projector
  • At the desk, there is an Extron touch panel.  Press the Power icon (Above "Press Here to Begin.")
  • Please wait while the projector starts up (45 seconds.) 
  • At the top of the Extron touch panel screen (pictured above), there are source icons.  Push the "PC" icon.
  • Log in to the computer using the keyboard and mouse at the podium.  Computer image will appear on the screen.
  • Adjust audio using the volume icon in the computer's task bar, as well as the volume icons on the Extron touch panel.  
  • To mute the audio, press the volume Mute button on the right side of the touch panel.
  • To temporarily blank the projected image, without turning off the projector, press the "Projector Mute" button on the left side of the touch panel.
  • When finished, log off the computer and turn off the projector by pressing the "System Off" button at the bottom right of the touch panel. 
  • At the "Do you want to turn the system off" screen, select "Power Down."

To Use a Laptop with Projector
  • Plug the VGA cable into the VGA port of your laptop.  (If you have a Mac, you will need your VGA adapter.  If you do not have one, there are some available at the LBIS Circulation desk.) 
  • If you have audio in your presentation, plug the mini-audio cable into the headphones jack of your laptop.  Turn on the laptop.
  • At the desk, there is an Extron touch panel.  Press the Power icon (Above "Press Here to Begin.")
  • Please wait while the projector starts up (45 seconds.) 
  • At the top of the Extron touch panel screen (pictured above), there are source icons.  Push the "Laptop" icon.
  • Laptop image will appear on the screen.
  • Adjust audio using the volume icon in the computer's task bar, as well as the volume icons on the Extron touch panel.  
  • To mute the audio, press the volume Mute button on the right side of the touch panel.
  • To temporarily blank the projected image, without turning off the projector, press the "Projector Mute" button on the left side of the touch panel.
  • When finished, log off the computer and turn off the projector by pressing the "System Off" button at the bottom right of the touch panel. 
  • At the "Do you want to turn the system off" screen, select "Power Down."

To Use Apple TV
  • At the desk, there is an Extron touch panel.  Press the Power icon (Above "Press Here to Begin.")
  • Please wait while the projector starts up (45 seconds.) 
  • At the top of the Extron touch panel screen (pictured above), there are source icons.  Push the "Apple TV" icon.
  • Your laptop or device must be connected to the "Kenyon Devices" wifi network in order to communicate with the Apple TV.
  • Once connected to "Kenyon Devices", select the AirPlay icon at the top of your laptop screen (looks like a rectangle with a black triangle) and then select "Tomsich 101 Apple TV."  For iOs devices, swipe up from the bottom of your screen to access the Control Center, and select the AirPlay icon.
  • (Instructions for doing this should also appear on the projector screen once you select "Apple TV" on the touch panel.)
  • Your device's image should now appear on the projector screen.
  • When finished, press the AirPlay icon to disconnect and turn off the projector by pressing the "System Off" button at the bottom right of the touch panel. 
  • At the "Do you want to turn the system off" screen, select "Power Down."

To Show A DVD or Blu-Ray disc
  • The Blu-Ray DVD player is located inside the podium.  It can play either standard or Blu-ray discs. Put your disc in.
  • At the desk, there is an Extron touch panel.  Press the Power icon (Above "Press Here to Begin.")
  • Please wait while the projector starts up (45 seconds.)
  • At the top of the Extron touch panel screen (pictured above), there are source icons.  Push the "Blu-ray" icon.
  • Use the touch panel controls that appear to navigate the DVD menu and to play the DVD.  A remote control is also provided.
  • Adjust the volume using the volume buttons on the touch panel.
  • When finished, turn off the projector by pressing the "System Off" button at the bottom right of the touch panel.  At the "Do you want to turn the system off" screen, select "Power Down."
  • Eject the DVD.
