To Use Lectern Computer with Projector
  • To display the lectern computer's image on the projector, use the Extron Control Panel on top of instructor station. (Pictured above)
  • Press and hold Display On button for two seconds. The screen will descend and the projector will slowly turn on. 
  • Press the Lectern PC button on the control panel.
  • The computer image should appear on screen.
  • Adjust volume, if needed, with volume knob on control panel and/or volume icon on the computer's taskbar.
  • Audio Note:  If sound is low, ensure that the mixer at cabinet in back of room is on, and that the sliders marked "Lectern" and "Main Mix" are raised.
  • To temporarily mute the image, press the PIC MUTE button on the control panel.
  • When finished, log off computer, then press the Display Off button, holding it at least 2 seconds until it starts blinking. Projector will then turn off.

To Use a laptop with Projector
  • To display a laptop image on the projector, use the Extron Control Panel on top of instructor station. (Pictured above)
  • Locate the "Laptop" VGA cable on the top of the lectern and plug it into your laptop's VGA port.
  • If using a Mac laptop, use your VGA adapter.  These are some available for checkout at the Library's Circulation desk.
  • Press and hold Display On button for two seconds. The screen will descend and the projector will slowly turn on. 
  • Press the Laptop button on the control panel.
  • The laptop image should appear on screen.
  • Adjust volume, if needed, with volume knob on control panel and/or volume icon on the laptop's taskbar.

  • To temporarily mute the image, press the PIC MUTE button on the control panel.

To Show a BluRay or standard DVD
  • Turn on BluRay player located inside the lectern. Insert DVD. It will play standard DVDs, not just BluRays.
  • To display DVD image on projector, use Extron Control Panel on top of instructor station. (Pictured above)
  • Press and hold Display On button for two seconds. The screen will descend and the projector will slowly turn on.
  • Press the BluRay button on Control Panel input selector.
  • Insert DVD in the DVD drive.
  • Operate DVD player with buttons on the top control panel, or the provided remote control.
  • Adjust volume using knob on Control Panel.
    • Audio Note:  If sound is low, ensure that the mixer at cabinet in back of room is on, and that the sliders marked "Lectern" and "Main Mix" are raised.
  • When finished, press the Display OFF button, holding it at least 2 seconds until it starts blinking. Screen will rise and projector will turn off. Eject DVD and turn off DVD player.
