Oden 300 Seminar Room Technology Guide


To use the Local PC with room TV:
  1. Locate the TV remote control (it has a green power button on the top left and a red standby button on the top right). It will be either velcro'd to the rear of the TV on the left, or sitting on the lectern/table in the room.
  2. Stand in front of the TV, and point the remote to the lower right of the TV (It has a red indicator light), and press the Power ON button. The indicator light on the TV will turn blue.
  3. Next, press any key on the provided wireless keyboard (typically located on the conference table, or the room lectern) to wake up the PC.  
  4. Press the HDMI 1 button on the TV remote control to select the PC input. Once you see the Windows login screen, login to the PC, using your Kenyon network username and password.
  5. If playing an online video, press the volume up or down buttons on the TV remote control, or use the volume icon in the computer’s task bar.
  6. When finished presenting, log out of the computer and press the red Standby button on the TV remote control to turn off the TV.

To use a Laptop with room TV (wireless screen casting only is available in this room):
  1. Locate the TV remote control (it has a green power button on the top left and a red standby button on the top right). It will be either velcro'd to the rear of the TV on the left, or sitting on the lectern/table in the room.
  2. Stand in front of the TV, and point the remote to the lower right of the TV (It has a red indicator light), and press the Power ON button. The indicator light on the TV will turn blue
  3. Press HDMI 2 on the TV remote control. This will bring up the "Ditto" splash screen. 
  4. If you have a Mac device, use the "Screen Mirroring" option on your Apple device and select the room's Apple TV name from the list, which should match the name on the top of the Ditto screen on the TV.  A code will display for you to input in your device before screen casting can occur.
  5. If you have a Windows device, follow the instructions displayed on the Ditto screen on the TV.  A code will display for you to input in your device before screen casting can occur.
  6. If playing back video and/or audio, press the volume up or down buttons on the TV remote control, or use the volume icon in your device’s audio controls to adjust the volume.
  7. When finished presenting, disconnect your laptop and press the red Standby button on the TV remote control to turn off the TV.

To Play a DVD or BluRay disc
  1. Locate the TV remote control (it has a green power button on the top left and a red standby button on the top right). It will be either velcro'd to the rear of the TV on the left, or sitting on the lectern/table in the room.
  2. Stand in front of the TV, and point the remote to the lower right of the TV (It has a red indicator light), and press the Power ON button. The indicator light on the TV will turn blue
  3. Press HDMI 3 on the TV remote control.
  4. Press the power button on the DVD/BluRay player, then press the Eject button to open the disc tray.  Insert your DVD.
  5. Use the provided BluRay/DVD Remote control to navigate the DVD's menu, and press Play, Stop, FFwd, ect...
  6. To adjust the volume, use the TV remote control volume up and down buttons.
