To Use Laptop with Projector
  • There is a laptop cable at the instructor’s console.  If your laptop has a Mini-DisplayPort, full size DisplayPort, or USB-C port, use the cable labelled HDMI, with the appropriate attached adapter, and plug it into your laptop.  
  • Turn on laptop.
  • To display laptop image on projector, use the Control Panel on top of instructor station. (Pictured above)  Press and hold Display On button for two seconds. Button will blink, indicating that the projector is turning on.
  • Press the HDMI button, depending on your choice of cable, on the control panel input selector.
  • Laptop image should appear on screen. If image is not optimal, press the Auto Image button on the control panel.
  • If needed, adjust volume with knob on Control Panel.  If audio does not work, try unplugging and re-plugging the adapter into your laptop.
  • To temporarily mute the image, press the PIC MUTE button on the control panel.
  • When finished, turn off and unplug laptop, then press the Display Off button, holding it at least 2 seconds until it starts blinking. Projector will then turn off

To Use Apple TV for Wireless Screencasting
  • At the instructor's console, there is an Extron touch panel.  Press and hold (for 2 seconds) the Display ON button and wait while the projector starts up.
  • On the Extron touch panel (pictured above), there are source icons.  Push the APPLE TV button.
  • Apple TV provides the ability to wirelessly project the contents of your iPhone, iPad, or MacBook to the projector.
  • Your laptop or device must be connected to the "Kenyon Devices" wifi network in order to communicate with the Apple TV.
  • Once connected to "Kenyon Devices", select the AirPlay (or screen mirroring) icon on your device, and then select the Apple TV for the room in which you are presenting.   (Instructions for doing this should have appeared on the projector screen once you select "Apple TV" on the touch panel.)  It will display a code which you must input to your device.
  • Your device's image should now appear on the projector screen.
  • When finished, press the AirPlay icon to disconnect and turn off the projector by pressing the Display Off button at the top of the control panel.
