Oden 110 Classroom Technology Guide


To Use Projectors with Classroom PC:

STEP 1
Turn on the classroom AV system using the small touchscreen control panel on the lectern. Press Press to Begin. The screens will lower and the projectors will power on.

STEP 2
Login to the classroom PC with your Kenyon credentials.

STEP 3
Pressing PC and Send to All ensures your sound and video will be sent to all appropriate outputs.

To display a second desktop, select the source PC Extended on the touch screen and then select Projector 2 and Lectern LCD 2 to ensure the image is available at both the lectern as well as on the screen. (Pressing the Windows Key + the letter p will allow you extend your desktop if you would like the use of two separate screens).

(You can individually Power Off each projector under Display Controls.)

AUDIO CONTROLS
To change audio inputs simply select the appropriate input under Sources and then the Audio option under Destinations.

The primary audio controls can be found at the bottom right of the screen allowing you to change the volume or mute all audio, entirely. Additional options are available under the Audio Controls button.

DOCUMENT CAMERA
Press the Doc Cam (HDMI) button on the touch panel and select which projector and/or LCD display you prefer. Focus and Zoom controls can be found on the Elmo document camera.

END OF CLASS
Be sure to logout of the PC and on the small touchscreen select the Power button at the top right to Power Down the classroom before you leave.

Connecting a laptop:

STEP 1
Turn on the classroom AV system using the small touchscreen control panel on the lectern. Press Press to Begin. The screens will lower and the projectors will power on.

STEP 2
To connect your laptop to the system, use the provided HDMI cable located on the lectern, and select the appropriate adapter on the cable for your specific laptop port.

STEP 3
Under Sources press Laptop (HDMI) and on the far right select Send to All.

AUDIO CONTROLS

END OF CLASS
Disconnect your laptop and on the small touchscreen select the Power button at the top right to power down the classroom before you leave.

To use Apple TV for wireless screen casting:

STEP 1
Turn on the classroom AV system using the small touchscreen control panel on the lectern. Press Press to Begin. The screens will lower and the projectors will power on.

STEP 2
Under Sources press Apple TV and on the far right select Send to All or select which projector you would prefer under Destinations.

STEP 3
Follow the onscreen instructions to connect your device to the Apple TV using Airplay (iOS) or Ditto (Android/Windows).  
Your device must be connected to the Kenyon Wifi or Kenyon Devices wireless network in order to use this service.

STEP 4
When finished presenting, find the Power button at the top right of the lectern’s touchscreen to power down the classroom before you leave.

To play a DVD or BluRay

STEP 1
Turn on the classroom AV system using the small touchscreen control panel on the lectern. Press Press to Begin. The screens will lower and the projectors will power on.

STEP 2
Locate the Laptop HDMI cable on the lectern, and unplug any of the adapters from the HDMI end.  Plug the HDMI cable into the open HDMI port to the right of the DVD player. 

STEP 3
Under Sources press  Laptop (HDMI) and on the far right select Send to All or select which projector you would prefer under Destinations.

STEP 4
Use the provided DVD remote control to control the playback of your DVD title.

STEP 5
When finished presenting, eject your DVD.  Then, find the Power button at the top right of the lectern’s touchscreen to power down the classroom system before you leave.
