To Use a Mac Laptop with Projector
- Plug the white "Mac laptop" cable into the mini-display port of your Mac laptop.
- Turn on the laptop.
- Press the Press Here to Begin button on the Extron touch panel.
- Please wait while the projector starts up (45 seconds.)
- At the top of the Extron touch panel screen (pictured above), there are source icons. Push the "Mac Laptop" icon.
- Laptop image will appear on the screen.
- If you have audio in your presentation, select an audio source for the laptop. (For pre-2011 MacBooks, the audio is handled by plugging in the mini-audio cable into the headphones jack of the laptop. If so, press the Headphone Jack icon.)
- (For 2011 and newer MacBooks, you can select the Mini-Display Port icon. In this case audio and video are carried on the same cable. You may need to adjust your MacBooks audio output settings)
- Adjust audio using the volume icon in the laptops's task bar, as well as the round volume knob on the Extron touch panel.
- To temporarily blank the image, without turning off the projector, press the "Image Mute" button on the right side of the touch panel.
- When finished, turn off the projector by pressing the "System Off" button at the bottom right of the touch panel.
- At the "Do you want to turn the system off" screen, select "Power Down."
To Use a VGA Laptop with Projector
- Plug the black "VGA laptop" cable into the VGA port of your laptop. If you have audio in your presentation, plug the mini-audio cable into the headphones jack of your laptop. Turn on the laptop.
- Press the Press Here to Begin button on the Extron touch panel.
- Please wait while the projector starts up (45 seconds.)
- At the top of the Extron touch panel screen (pictured above), there are source icons. Push the "VGA Laptop" icon.
- Laptop image will appear on the screen.
- Adjust audio using the volume icon in the laptops's task bar, as well as the round volume knob on the Extron touch panel.
- To temporarily blank the image, without turning off the projector, press the "Image Mute" button on the right side of the touch panel.
- When finished, turn off the projector by pressing the "System Off" button at the bottom right of the touch panel.
- At the "Do you want to turn the system off" screen, select "Power Down."
To Use the Microphone
- The podium microphone is muted by default when you start the system.
- To activate the microphone at the podium, press "Audio Mute" button on the right side of the Extron touch panel, or at the lower right of the touch panel.
- To adjust the microphone levels, press the "Speech Up" or "Speech Down" buttons on the right side of the Extron touch panel.
- To temporarily mute the audio, press the "Audio Mute" button.
To Show A Blu-Ray disc or DVD
- There is a Blu-Ray DVD player located inside the podium (which plays audio in standard stereo). There is also a Blu-Ray DVD player in the projection booth (which will play the audio in Souround Sound.).
- Put your DVD in.
- Press the Press Here to Begin button on the Extron touch panel.
- Please wait while the projector starts up (45 seconds.)
- At the top of the Extron touch panel screen (pictured above), there are source icons. Push the "Lectern Blu-Ray" or "Booth Blu-Ray" icon.
- Use the touch panel controls that appear to navigate the DVD menu and to play the DVD. A remote control is also provided.
- Adjust the volume using the volume dial on the touch panel.
- When finished, turn off the projector by pressing the "System Off" button at the bottom right of the touch panel. At the "Do you want to turn the system off" screen, select "Power Down." Eject Blu-Ray disc.
