To Use Classroom Computer with Projector
  • On top of the lectern, there is an Extron touch panel.  Press the blue “Press Here to Begin” icon on the touch panel.
  • Please wait while the projector starts up (~30 seconds.) 
  • At the top of the Extron touch panel screen that appears (pictured above), there are source icons.  Push the "PC" icon.
  • Log in to the computer using the keyboard and mouse at the podium.  Computer image will appear on the screen.
  • Adjust audio using the volume icon in the computer's task bar, as well as the up and down Volume icons on the right side of the Extron touch panel.
  • To temporarily blank the image, without turning off the projector, press the display “Mute" button on the right side of the touch panel screen.
  • When finished, log off the computer and turn off the projector by pressing the red "System Off" button at the bottom right of the touch panel.
To Use your Laptop with Projector
  • Plug the lectern HDMI cable into the display out port of your laptop.  If your laptop does not have and HDMI output, use one of the provided HDMI adapters (USB-C, DisplayPort, or Mini-DisplayPort).
  • On top of the lectern, there is an Extron touch panel.  Press the blue “Press Here to Begin” icon on the touch panel.
  • Please wait while the projector starts up (~30 seconds.) 
  • At the top of the Extron touch panel screen that appears (pictured above), there are source icons.  Push the "Laptop HDMI" icon.  (If you prefer to use the provided older style VGA laptop cable on the lectern, select the “Laptop VGA” icon on the touch panel)
  • Adjust audio using the volume icon in the computer's task bar, as well as the up and down Volume icons on the right side of the Extron touch panel.
  • To temporarily blank the image, without turning off the projector, press the display “Mute" button on the right side of the touch panel screen.
  • When finished, log off the laptop and turn off the projector by pressing the red "System Off" button at the bottom right of the touch panel.

To Show a BluRay disc or DVD
  • A multi-format BluRay player is located inside the lectern rack. Press the front eject button on the BluRay player to open the tray and insert your BluRay or standard DVD.
  • On top of the lectern, there is an Extron touch panel.  Press the blue “Press Here to Begin” icon on the touch panel.
  • Wait while the projector starts up (~30 seconds.) 
  • At the top of the Extron touch panel screen that appears (pictured above), there are source icons.  Push the "BluRay" icon.
  • Use the provided remote control to play the DVD or select disc chapters.
  • Adjust audio volume using the up and down Volume icons on the right side of the Extron touch panel.
  • To temporarily blank the image, without turning off the projector, press the display “Mute" button on the right side of the touch panel screen.
  • When finished, press the red "System Off" button at the bottom right of the touch panel.
  • Eject the BluRay or DVD disc.
To use Apple TV for wireless screencasting
  • Turn on the projection system as described above
  • Select “Apple TV” on the touch panel, and follow the instructions on the Apple TV interface to screencast the contents of your device wirelessly.
