To Use Desktop Computer with LCD Projector
  • To display computer image on projector, use the Control Panel on top of instructor station. (Pictured above). 
  • Press and hold Display On button for two seconds. Button will blink, indicating that the projector is turning on.
  • Press PC button on input selector of control panel.
  • The computer image should appear on screen.
  • Adjust volume, if needed, with volume knob on control panel.
  • To temporarily mute the image, press the PIC MUTE button on the control panel.
  • When finished, log off computer, then press the Display Off button, holding it at least 2 seconds until it starts blinking.
To Use Laptop with Projector
  • There is a VGA and an HDMI laptop cable on top of the instructor station. Plug either laptop cable into laptop's external monitor jack.  (If using VGA, cconnect the audio cable to the headphones jack on your laptop, if desired.)
  • Turn on laptop.
  • To display laptop image on projector, use the Control Panel on top of instructor station. (Pictured above)  Press and hold Display On button for two seconds. Button will blink, indicating that the projector is turning on.
  • Press the HDMI (or VGA) buttons, depending on your choice of cable, on the control panel input selector.
  • Laptop image should appear on screen. If image is not optimal, press the Auto Image button on the control panel.
  • If needed, adjust volume with knob on Control Panel.  If audio does not work, try unplugging and re-plugging the adapter into your laptop.
  • To temporarily mute the image, press the PIC MUTE button on the control panel.
  • When finished, turn off and unplug laptop, then press the Display Off button, holding it at least 2 seconds until it starts blinking. Projector will then turn off.
To Show a BluRay or standard DVD
  • Turn on BluRay player, located inside the equipment rack. Insert DVD.  It will play standard DVDs, not just BluRays.
  • To display DVD image on projector, use Control Panel on top of instructor station. (Pictured above)
  • Press and hold Display On button for two seconds. Button will blink, indicating that the projector is turning on.
  • Press the BluRay button on Control Panel input selector.
  • Insert DVD in the DVD drive.
  • Operate DVD player with buttons on the top control panel, or the provided remote control.
  • Adjust volume using knob on Control Panel.
  • When finished, press the Display OFF button, holding it at least 2 seconds until it starts blinking. Eject DVD and turn off DVD player.
To Use Elmo Document Camera
  • On control panel, press Display On button. Button will blink, indicating that the Data projector is slowly turning on.
  • Press the DOC CAM button.
  • Elmo document camera is located in the right side drawer of the instructor station.
  • Open drawer fully, raise both light arms, then raise the camera arm by pressing the switch on the upper left.
  • Turn on the grey power switch on the upper right of unit.
  • Press the Lamp button on lower right of unit. Lamp button toggles between three states: Upper, which turns on the upper lights on arms, Base, which provided illumination from below (for transparencies,) and Off.
  • Press the Zoom Tele or Wide buttons to move in closer or farther away from the object or document.
  • When finished, turn off the grey power switch on the upper right of unit. Close the arms and close the drawer. Press the Display OFF button on top control panel, holding it at least 2 seconds until it starts to blink.
To Use Apple TV
  • At the lectern, there is an Extron touch panel.  Press and hold (for 2 seconds) the Display ON button.
  • Please wait while the projector starts up.
  • In the middle of the Extron touch panel screen (pictured above), there are source icons.  Push the "Apple TV" icon.
  • Apple TV provides the ability to wirelessly project the contents of your iPhone, iPad, or laptop to the projector.
  • Your laptop or device must be connected to the "Kenyon Devices" wifi network in order to communicate with the Apple TV.
  • Once connected to "Kenyon Devices", select the AirPlay icon at the top of your laptop screen (looks like a rectangle with a black triangle) and then select "Keithley 002 Apple TV."  For iOs devices, swipe up from the bottom of your screen to access the Control Center, and select the AirPlay icon.
  • If you have a Windows laptop, you will need special software to use the wireless feature of Apple TV.  Please contact Helpline to request installation on your computer.
  • Once you select "Apple TV" on the touch panel, you will see basic instructions on using the AirPlay feature.
  • Your device's image should now appear on the projector screen.
  • When finished, press the AirPlay icon to disconnect and turn off the projector by pressing the "Display Off" button at the top of the control panel.
